The township of Ialyssos - Ixia is located on the north west tip of the island. During the summer season, it gets the most amount of wind which makes it ideal for windsurfing, sailing, parasailing, sea-doos, and other small and larger water crafts. For those who prefer to swim with some waves, this location is best suited, as the east side of the island has no waves, and is smooth as glass. The beaches on this side of the island are primarily made of sand and small pebbles. Located only minutes from Rhodes town, there are an abundant amount of Hotels to choose from.
