Rhodes has a wide variety of sports and other activities to offer, that can keep you busy while on holidays. You can find almost everything from bowling and horse back riding, to extreme games like paintball war games and bungee jumping. 

If you don't just want to lay on the beach and tan all day long and you want some action too, here's a list of other things you can do!!!

ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY..!

 BOWLING: Although bowling is new in Greece, in the last few years it has grown in popularity and it's fans are organizing small daily competitions and local championships. At the moment there are only two bowling halls on Rhodes. One in the Zephyros area, the other on the outskirts of Kremasti - close to the airport.  

BUNGEE JUMPING: In Faliraki, Rhodes, you will find the "New World Bungee" and Aquarius Euro-Bungee. Both with qualified operators and excellent safety record.

CATAMARAN SAILING: Catamaran sailing is available in Faliraki, Rhodes and Ixia beach. Faliraki is better for starters because it is not so windy but Rhodes & Ixia will suit the experts just fine!!

CYCLING: Bicycles are available all over the island at very low prices. If however, you like to follow organized groups that do mountain and downhill biking or want to tour the entire island, there is only one company called Hellas Bike Travel with a branch office in Faliraki that has high end equipment and special guides for touring. FOOTBALL & MINI FOOTBALL: Football courts can be found all over the island and nobody would mind if you went in there to shoot some goals. There are also 5-a-side football pitches available in some resorts. One of the best know ones is Venezia Hotel in Faliraki.

GO-KARTS: There are several Go-kart tracks on the island. There is one in Damatria, one in Lardos and one in Faliraki. The one in Faliraki called Stan's Go-Karts is the easiest one to reach. For more information please contact Stan at: stan-kart@rodos.com

GOLF: A full size Golf course can be found at Afandou town, 17 km from Rhodes town on the east coast of the Island. Good facilities and if you don't have the necessary gear, you can rent it right on the course. For more information, call ++30-22410-51121, 51541

MINI GOLF: Mini golf courts are available all around the island as well. Most of the large hotels have mini golf courts available within their premises. There also are private courses. It wouldn't be hard to find one that suits your taste!!!!

HORSE RIDING: The local club is located near Rhodes town and its open 09.30 - 13.30 and 16.00 - 20.00. For more info ask your tour operator.

RALLY CARTING: It is the same as normal carting but its done on a dirt track. The only place available for this is in Faliraki.

SCUBA DIVING: There are two companies doing scuba diving. Both depart from Mandraki Harbor and they both give lessons in Kalithea Spa area. SQUASH: Squash courts are also available in hotels and there are also some clubs that you can go and play for a while for a small fee.

SNOOKER & POOL TABLE: Snooker and pool tables are available in almost every bar you go, but if you want something more professional there are pool table clubs that organize championships and have the best equipment available. Most of them are located in Rhodes town.

TENNIS: There are plenty of Tennis courts and can be found at most Hotels and Resorts. Many of them are free of charge. For more information, ask your tour company rep when in Rhodes or go to the Hotels page and look for the ones with Tennis courts.

WALKING TOURS: For walking tours you will have to ask your local travel agent. All the tour operators have all the information you need.

WATER SPORTS AND FUN: Plenty around the whole island. One of the most reliable and with an excellent safety record is Gabriel's Water Sports in Faliraki. Lots of fun things; water rides, pedal boats, paragliding and so much more..

WATER SKIING & JET SKIING: In every beach resort area you will find licensed operators that can even teach you how to ski. You will be able to ski like an expert before the end of your holidays!!! As for jet skis you will find them in several resort areas. Great fun, but they are restricted from going in the swimming areas. When you do rent one, please observe the rules and regulations as stipulated by the law and by the respect for human life.

WIND SURFING: You will find it in Faliraki, Ixia, Afandou, Tsambika Beach, Kolymbia and other popular resort areas all over the island of Rhodes.
